Jim is an experienced financial services professional with nearly four decades of owning and running small businesses, experiencing significant successful business exits as well as many failures along the way. The focus has always been in providing independent services that enhance the core offerings of other professional practices with deep expertise in collaborating with accountants, solicitors, financial advisors, Insurance Companies, Banks and other professionals to deliver independent solutions that complement and strengthen their client relationships. Jim brings real-world perspective to the challenges business owners face and works directly with business owners on business succession planning and ownership transition support. Outside of work Jim enjoys skiing, golf and socialising with friends and family.

Kyle is a seasoned finance and risk professional with over 15 years of experience spanning financial services, geopolitical cyber risk, and SME sectors. He was the inaugural employee of a now-global cybersecurity data hygiene non-profit, sharpening his acumen for early-stage ventures. Starting his career trading commodity derivatives in Durban, South Africa, Kyle later moved to New York where he worked on Wall Street. After nearly 10 years he left New York where he went to work with a small business which shaped his understanding of the challenges that many owner-operated small businesses face in the United States. In his downtime, Kyle can often be found swimming laps or coaching young swimmers to reach new heights. He lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife and their little dog.

A generalist at heart, Steven takes a hands-on approach, striving to understand the unique DNA of every business he works with. His career path has been anything but ordinary. From brewing beer to selling businesses, Steven has worn many hats. This diverse background gives him a well-rounded, real-world perspective on business valuation and the opportunities and challenges that entrepreneurs face. When he’s not deep in financial models, you’ll probably find Steven off the grid, exploring dirt roads on his motorcycle.

Howard is a lawyer, but he prefers to be thought of as a serial entrepreneur. Having founded more than 20 startups and with four decades of experience on boards of companies, his largest company employs 1,800 staff and serves three continents.

Having spent fortunes on valuations from top-tier firms, Howard now believes firmly in the 80-20 principle for valuations and co-founded bizval as a result. With a strong focus on the cash flows and enjoying every business he is involved with, Howard sometimes drags himself away from his desk to drive cars on racetracks. Quickly.
